The Mos’teryx symbol draws its inspiration from an unlikely source - the fossil of a humble mosquito discovered in Canada.
While several mosquito fossils from different times throughout earth’s history have been unearthed across various regions of Canada, the most famous among them is the one discovered in Alberta in 2010. This fossil, estimated to be 30 million years old, revealed that mosquitoes have been a part of the earth's ecosystem for a very long time, coexisting with the ancestors of current flora and fauna.
It is fascinating to reflect on the fact that humans and mosquitoes have shared history since the beginning of time. Despite their ecological significance, mosquitoes are often perceived as pesky creatures, making them an unwelcome presence for most.
It is in response to this shared experience of discomfort that Mos’teryx plans to release a range of products revolving around the theme of mosquitos. These goods are designed to help individuals combat the discomfort caused by mosquitoes during outdoor activities and provide a unique perspective toward this species.
